NT Bush Poet performs in his Outback Dunny

Waldo, who recites his poems to everyone visiting his shop in Humpty Doo, says his first poem was inspired by former politician Pauline Hanson.
“I went up to my wife’s workshop at four in the morning and 22.5 minutes later I had written Ode to Pauline Hanson.”
Waldo has since written well over 500 poems, on themes ranging from Slim Dusty, Murray River paddleboats, frogs, and R.M. Williams.
He says it doesn’t take him too long to write a poem once he has an idea.
“I can usually knock a poem out between 10 and 20 minutes.”
